While writing the songs for the last All Smiles album, I had few friends in Chicago, and Natasha was away. I sat for three weeks in our storefront/home and played that thing all day, every day. It’s really easy to sing with. I would make a pot of beans every few days and eat that with some rice until it was gone. That food, the guitar, and a few glasses of wine each night were my only companions during that time. I didn’t feel very lonely.
